Our Experience

A bespoke KM Roadmap will identify challenges and chart a path to overcome them and thrive.

Program Strategy and Team Development

Built and fostered knowledge management, innovation, records management, docketing, litigation support, and administrative teams at four law firms. These experiences helped me understand the critical roles and functions needed to create successful working teams. One team, at Ogletree Deakins, was recognized as a Finalist in the Best Knowledge Management Team category at The Lawyer Business Leadership Awards.

Enterprise Search

Led the strategy, design, and implementation of enterprise search systems at three law firms. These experiences included working with leading products such as Lexis Search Advantage, Decisiv Search (by Recommind / OpenText), Handshake (by Aderant), and NetKnowledge (by NetDocuments and BA Insight). These projects dramatically improved the efficiency and effectiveness of lawyers and support staff.

Intranet / Portal

Led the strategy, design, and implementation of intranet platforms at four law firms. Since well- designed intranets are digital representations of the whole organization, these projects required collaboration across all practice groups and administrative departments, ensuring universal access to information and improved process efficiency. At one firm, Ogletree Deakins, my team was honored to achieve the Intranet Innovation Gold Award from Step Two Designs.

Extranet / Custom Client Tools

Led the strategy, design, client coordination, and implementation of several client extranet platforms and custom client tools. These tools provided clients with secure access to data, documents, and case information, making collaboration with clients easier and more efficient, often leading to great savings in client legal fees.

Change Management & User Adoption

Designed and developed change management and user adoption plans for dozens of projects. With the introduction of various internal and client-facing tools and systems, ensuring proper training, user adoption, and change management is critical. Researching and understanding user needs and problems are key initial steps to developing effective solutions that are actually used and embraced by lawyers and support staff.
